Start with the charger’s required current, voltage, and expected operating profile rather than selecting the highest available rating. Available configurations include 125A, 150A, 200A, 250A, 300A, 380A, and 400A. Cable length, conductor specification, duty cycle, ambient temperature, and charger thermal design should also be reviewed before confirming the configuration.
Replacing an existing cable assembly requires more than matching the charging interface. The electrical rating, cable specifications, equipment-side termination, signal wiring, dimensions, and charger control design should be compared with the existing product. Drawings and samples should be reviewed before approving the replacement, together with any impact on the certification of the complete charging equipment.
Choose first according to the required current. G1.0 is available in 16A, 32A, 40A, and 48A configurations, while G2.0 covers requirements from 16A to 80A. After confirming the current rating, compare the connector form factor and cable requirements, then verify the exact UL-certified model for the project.
Provide the target market and application, required connector or inlet type, current and voltage, cable length, operating environment, and certification requirements. For replacement projects, include the existing product model or drawings. Sample quantity, expected order volume, delivery destination, and project schedule will also help prepare an accurate quotation and sample plan.
