Liquid cooling ev cable is usually used for high voltage electric car DC charging equipment.It is important to reduce the amount of time electric vehicles require to be plugged in before returning to the road in order to drive their adoption, and much research has been done to reduce these charging times. A new advance makes use of an alternative cooling technology to take the heat out of the charging cable, so it can be charged in under five minutes using the type of current needed.

The rate at which an electric vehicle can be charged is determined by the current the charging cable can handle (among other factors), and a greater current results in more heat generated. In today's solutions, liquid-cooling systems, similar to those used in computers, prevent overheating of the wires within the cable. However, these systems cannot be expanded to accommodate higher currents for fast charging without the cable becoming cumbersome and hard to handle.
