Workersbee’s CCS2 Gen 1.1 handle is designed for high-throughput DC sites that want high current without the added complexity of a liquid-cooling loop. It supports up to 375 A at 1000 V with natural cooling, using a simpler architecture with fewer maintenance points.
Thermal and mechanical performance are engineered for daily operation. The design targets a terminal temperature rise of ≤50 K under specified test conditions and a mechanical life beyond 10,000 mating cycles, helping operators keep bays available during peak hours.
For outdoor duty, the housing is rated IP55 and meets UL94 V-0 flammability requirements. Handling is optimized for field use, with insertion and withdrawal force kept at ≤100 N to support smooth operation for drivers and site technicians wearing gloves.
Current options cover 250 A, 300 A, 350 A, and 375 A, with matching cable configurations available to fit different cabinets, routing constraints, and climate conditions. For projects with extreme duty cycles, high ambient temperatures, or long continuous high-current sessions, a liquid-cooled solution may be a better fit. If you want to validate fit and thermal behavior on your site, get the datasheet or request a sample for a short on-site trial.

Workersbee applies documented inspection and shipment verification to support consistent performance at scale. Typical verification for this handle and cable assembly covers electrical integrity and durability, including temperature-rise evaluation, insulation resistance, and dielectric withstand, ingress protection (IP), vibration and mechanical load, contact performance, impact, and plug-in/withdrawal endurance. Environmental reliability checks may include high/low-temperature cycling, salt spray, and sulfuration, along with coating thickness checks for critical terminals. Micro-switch durability and actuation travel can also be verified, where applicable. Test results are recorded for traceability, helping customers reduce incoming inspection effort and improve field reliability.

Current Options Up to 375 A (System-Dependent)
Supports 250/300/350/375 A options up to 1000 V DC. Output power depends on cabinet capability and site conditions.
Naturally Cooled, No Liquid Loop
Passive thermal design avoids pumps and hoses, reducing maintenance points and simplifying field service compared with liquid-cooled solutions.
Verified Thermal & Mechanical Durability
Designed for ≤50 K terminal temperature rise (specified test conditions) and >10,000 mating cycles, supporting stable daily operation at busy sites.
Outdoor-Ready Housing
IP55 housing and UL94 V-0 materials for demanding outdoor deployments. Operating temperature: -35 °C to +50 °C.
Integration-Friendly Cable Configuration
Cable options can be matched to current class and cabinet layout. TPU-jacketed cable with typical OD 34–40 mm across variants; length and cross-section configurable.
Is it compatible with my charger and vehicles?
It mates with IEC 62196-3 Combo-2 (CCS2) vehicle inlets and is designed for DC fast-charging cabinets up to 1000 V. It’s not for CCS1/NACS/GB/T inlets.
How much power can it deliver—and for how long?
Current options are 250/300/350/375 A (system-dependent). Power is limited by your cabinet and site conditions; at 1000 V and 375 A that’s up to 375 kW. The thermal architecture is engineered to keep terminal temperature rise within 50 K under the specified test conditions.
When should I choose naturally cooled instead of liquid-cooled?
Choose naturally cooled when you want high power with minimal maintenance—no pumps, no hoses, fewer wear parts. For extreme duty cycles or very hot sites where higher continuous current is required, consider a liquid-cooled alternative.
What are the durability and environmental ratings?
Mechanical life >10,000 mating cycles; IP55 housing; UL94 V-0 materials; operating temperature −35 °C to +50 °C; typical insertion/withdrawal ≤100 N for gloved use.
What cable options are available?
TPU-jacketed cable matched to the current class, with outer diameter typically 34–40 mm across the 250–375 A models. Length and cross-section can be configured to suit cabinet layout and voltage drop targets.
What about certifications, documentation, and warranty?
Units are available with TÜV/CE conformity. On request, Workersbee supplies the full datasheet (specs and outline) and supporting test records; the standard warranty is 24 months. Samples and OEM/ODM options are available for validation.
